Youth shot at in Adityapur Muslim Bustee

Jamshedpur: A youth was shot at and grievously injured in Muslim Bustee at Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district Thursday. The youth, identified as Ramzan, was allegedly shot by his own relative.

Police sources said that the backdrop of the clash between two groups was created Thursday at noon itself. Had the police taken the matter seriously, the incident could have been prevented.

The victim alleges that he was shot at by the members of Kadim Khan gang. The youth who has been shot at is none else than the brother in law of Kadim Khan.

The Seraikela-Kharsawan police had arrested and sent to jail Kadim’s wife Dolly Perween last month. Kadim thinks that his brother in law was responsible for sending his wife to jail.

Thursday afternoon he clashed with his brother in law. The locals somehow got him pacified by intervening in the matter.

But at night, he allegedly got him shot by his men.

Police sources said that the victim Ramzan was installing at CCTV camera near his house, which was opposed by Kadim Khan. But Ramzan continued installing CCTV.

The victim has named several persons in the incident.

The family members of the victim claim that Adityapur police did not arrive at the place of occurrence for hours.

Police are still investigating the matter.
