53 new Covid-19 positive patients in Jharkhand on Sunday, total now 2807

Ranchi: The number of new Covid-19 patients is on the rise in Jharkhand. On Sunday 53 new cases were detected.

One person was found positive in Bokaro, one in Deoghar, six in Dhanbad, 15 in Jamshedpur, one in Khunti, three in Kodarma, 10 in Lohardaga, 1 in Pakur, two in Palamu, five in Ranchi, one in Sahibganj, four in Seraikela and two from Simdega.

With this the number of total infections in the state has reached 2807. The state, for now, has 743 active cases. 2045 have been cured and discharged, while 19 have succumbed to the virus.

According to the health department, 51 new patients were found on July 4, while 69 were found in July 3. On July 2, 109 new patients were found. On June 30 too 60 new patients were found, while on June 29, the number of new cases was 44. June 28 saw the number of new cases at 44, while on June 27 it reached 48.

This shows that the number of new patients has been steadily high.

On Saturday the state had to bear the brunt of four deaths too. With that the number of deaths due to Covid has reached 19 in the state.
