Start Intermediate Enrollment at Jamshedpur Women’s University: AJSU
AJSU demands enrollment of all UG female students at Women’s University or warns of lockout.
JAMSHEDPUR – AJSU Students Union staged a demonstration today at the Women’s University in Jharkhand.
They raised their voices and slogans demanding the enrollment of all girl students who had filled in the forms for admission in the first semester of graduation.
According to them, there should be no seat limitations and all CUET/NORMAL students must be enrolled.
Hemant Pathak, Kolhan President of AJSU, further demanded the immediate start of Inter studies at the Women’s University, in line with government orders.
Pathak warned of a possible lockout and aggressive protests if these demands were not met within 72 hours.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof (Dr.) Angila Gupta, responded to these demands by saying that there was no mention of starting Intermediate studies in the university in the letter from the HRD department.
The university, like the students, has written to the HRD for guidelines on enrollment and is awaiting an order.
The AJSU protest was attended by Hemant Pathak, Deepak Pandey, Shreya Singh, Himadri Mahato, and other student leaders.
