SMB Foundation to Hold Shiksha Setu in Ghorabandha

Educational Materials Drive Scheduled on March 7 at Telco School

JAMSHEDPUR – The SMB Foundation will organize a “Shiksha Setu” outreach program on March 7 at a primary school in Ghorabandha to distribute study materials and refreshments among rural students.

The voluntary organization SMB Foundation announced the initiative. The event will take place on March 7, 2026.

Moreover, the program will begin at 10:00 AM. It will be held at Primary School Manpita in Ghorabandha, Telco.

The initiative has been planned under the banner of social service. It will focus on encouraging academic growth among village children.

On the other hand, organizers said essential learning tools will be provided. The aim is to motivate students through material support.

The following items will be distributed among the children:

  • Geometry boxes
  • Copies and notebooks
  • Pencils and erasers
  • Crayons and colored pencils

In addition, refreshments will also be handed out. These will include biscuits, chips, juice, and chocolates.

However, the organizers stated that the gesture intends to bring joy. It also seeks to strengthen students’ interest in studies.

Chairman Prakash Mukherjee outlined the foundation’s mission. He said the group works for underprivileged and needy children.

He added that connecting children with education remains central. He noted that resources are essential for their progress.

Meanwhile, the foundation has previously conducted blood donation camps. It has also organized free meal services and cow welfare programs.

Besides, education-focused activities continue to gain prominence in the region. Programs like Hindi Diwas at DBMS College have highlighted academic engagement.

Similarly, discussions around UGC Equity Rules have shaped policy debates.

In contrast, community awareness on environmental learning has also grown. Experts recently emphasized this in environmental education initiatives.

The foundation’s guiding motto reads, “Your Smile — Our Mission.” Organizers said the phrase reflects their service commitment.

They invited citizens and supporters to encourage the students. The event is expected to witness local participation.
