State Handloom Expo 2025 Inaugurated in Jamshedpur

Deputy Commissioner Karna Satyarthi Opens 14-Day Event at Gopal Maidan Bistupur

JAMSHEDPUR – The State Handloom Expo 2025 opened at Gopal Maidan Bistupur on December 1. Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Karna Satyarthi inaugurated the event. Jharcraft organized the exhibition.

Deputy Director of Jharcraft Priyadarshi Daripada attended the ceremony. GM DIC Ravi Shankar Prasad was present. Moreover, Jharcraft officials joined the inauguration.

A large number of artisans participated. The event runs until December 14, 2025. However, it operates under the National Handloom Development Programme.

The Ministry of Textiles supports the initiative. The NHDP framework governs the expo. Furthermore, weavers from multiple states are participating.

Jharkhand weavers showcase their traditional crafts. Artisans from various states display products. In addition, cooperative societies have set up stalls.

Self-help groups exhibit their handloom items. Over 200 stalls occupy the venue. Meanwhile, tasar silk dominates the displays.

Cotton handloom fabrics attract visitors daily. Sarees feature prominently in collections. On the other hand, home décor items draw interest.

Natural fiber products showcase sustainable craftsmanship. The expo provides direct market access. Besides, traditional weavers gain valuable exposure.

Indian handloom heritage receives strong promotion. Livelihood opportunities strengthen through direct sales. However, the platform connects artisans with consumers.

Jharcraft preserves traditional craft techniques consistently. The organization empowers rural livelihoods effectively. Moreover, it promotes sustainable handloom products.

The expo opens daily at 11:00 AM. It remains open until 8:00 PM. Furthermore, special cultural programs are scheduled.

Product promotion activities occur throughout the duration. East Singhbhum residents received special invitations. Meanwhile, nearby district citizens can attend.

Officials urged maximum public participation. Support for local weavers remains crucial. In addition, authentic handloom products need encouragement.
