JAMSHEDPUR – A security guard was injured while trying to stop a theft at a cable company premises in Golmuri. Thieves attacked Bishu Prasad, the guard, as he opposed their attempt to steal iron and gas cylinders.

The incident occurred on November 20, 2024, when unidentified individuals entered the company premises with a cargo tempo. They loaded the vehicle with stolen materials but fled the scene before the police arrived.

Police seized the tempo, which contained a large quantity of iron and gas cylinders. Golmuri police have registered a case against unknown persons and are investigating the matter.

Speaking on the incident, the Golmuri Police Station In-Charge confirmed the robbery attempt and the assault on the guard. The police are working to trace the suspects, who escaped before they could be apprehended.
