Jharkhand BJP Spokesperson Meets Indian Consulate in USA for Local Products’ Global Reach
Kunal Sarangi, Jharkhand BJP’s spokesperson, meets with Consulate General in Chicago, advocating for global exposure of Jharkhand’s GI tagged products and discussing student support and cricket infrastructure ahead of the T20 World Cup.
JAMSHEDPUR – Kunal Sarangi, the spokesperson for Jharkhand BJP, engaged in significant discussions with Somnath Ghosh, the Consulate General in the Indian Embassy in Chicago.
The focus of Sarangi’s visit was to garner international support for Jharkhand’s Geographical Indication (GI) tagged products, including Tasar, Sohrai painting, and various handloom items.
His advocacy aimed at providing these local products with a global marketplace, enhancing their visibility and marketability.
Alongside this, Sarangi and members of the Bihar Jharkhand Association in the USA deliberated on the importance of creating institutional arrangements.
These arrangements would ensure regular communication and support for Indian students residing in the United States.
Sarangi also discussed the potential of Jharkhand’s former international and national level cricket players and coaches.
He emphasized their role in developing cricket infrastructure in the USA, particularly in the context of America hosting the T20 World Cup this year.
Sarangi’s discussions highlighted the opportunity for Jharkhand’s talent to contribute to the global sporting arena.
Subbu Iyer, founder president of the American Premium Cricket League (APCL), also participated in these discussions, indicating the breadth of the initiatives being considered.
