Girlfriend and Her New Lover Arrested for Killing Prashant Sinha and Dumping Body in Dam

Disabled international badminton player Prashant Sinha from Jamshedpur was murdered by his girlfriend Kajal Sinha and her new lover Raunak in a love triangle in Hazaribagh, with the accused dumping his body in Chhadwa Dam.

JAMSHEDPUR – Prashant Sinha, a disabled international badminton player from Birsanagar, Jamshedpur, was murdered by his girlfriend Kajal Sinha and her new lover Raunak in a love triangle in Hazaribagh.

The accused duo killed Prashant and threw his body into the Chhadwa Dam in Hazaribagh to hide the evidence.

After 20 days, on Saturday, the Hazaribagh Police recovered the decomposed body following an investigation into Prashant’s girlfriend.

Friendship Turned Fatal

Prashant and Kajal became friends through Facebook in 2019, and both belonged to the same caste.

They met several times, and Prashant provided financial assistance to Kajal for employment.

However, a year ago, Kajal befriended Raunak, a resident of Pagoda Chowk, Hazaribagh, who runs a hut in Kallu Chowk.

Murder Plot and Execution

Kajal had stopped talking to Prashant for a few days, and he had threatened to make a video viral.

Raunak and Kajal planned to remove Prashant from their way.

Kajal brought Prashant to Hazaribagh on the pretext of taking him for a tour and took him to Raunak’s bed, where they murdered him.

The body was then packed in a sack and dumped in the mud of Chhadwa Dam using a scooter.

Investigation and Arrests

Prashant’s sister had filed a case of kidnapping for murder at Birsanagar police station on March 22, after he went missing on March 11.

The police named Kajal Sinha as an accused in the case, and Jamshedpur and Hazaribagh police were jointly investigating the matter.

Hazaribagh police arrested Raunak on March 29, and Kajal was apprehended after she ran away upon seeing the police at her house.

The body was recovered following Kajal’s trail, and Hazaribagh Police informed Jamshedpur Police about the incident.
