Kolhan to Host Sikh Athletics Championship

Sikh Wisdom’s Two-Day Athletic Event at Tinplate Stadium

Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s education wing, Sikh Wisdom, announces Mega Event, an athletics championship for the Sikh community in Kolhan.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sikh Wisdom, under the Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (CGPC), is set to organize the Maha Kumbh, an inclusive athletics championship for the Sikh community in Kolhan.

Scheduled for the last week of January, the event will take place at Tinplate Stadium on the 27th and 28th.

CGPC’s establishment of a six-member sports committee is a step towards ensuring the event’s success.

Chaired by Pradhan Bhagwan Singh, a meeting at the Sikh Wisdom office on Monday finalized the plans.

The championship aims to foster holistic development in Sikh children and adults, making it open to participants of all ages.

Daljit Singh, the chief convenor of the sports committee, highlighted the event’s inclusive nature, welcoming Sikh individuals and groups from various demographics.

Sukhdev Singh revealed plans for professional supervision and potential advancement opportunities for outstanding athletes in the under-14 category.

Gurmeet Singh Raji and Harvinder Singh Gullu are considering the inclusion of Gurmat Quiz Race and fun games, with details to follow.

Kulwinder Singh Pannu and Pradhan Bhagwan Singh of Sikh Wisdom emphasized the availability of information and sports forms at CGPC offices and through the Central Sikh Naujawan Sabha.
