Industry Experts Share Career Insights With First-Year Students

JAMSHEDPUR – The Department of Soft Skills conducted a professional development workshop for first-year students across all departments from August 25 to 29, 2025.

The event featured several keynote sessions by professionals from diverse fields. Lt. Col. Sangeeta Sinha spoke on positive attitude, and on mental and physical wellness. Shikha Bhatnagar, meanwhile, presented lessons on soft skills drawn from her armed forces experience.

In addition, Ms. Debaleena Karmakar, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Kross Limited, highlighted corporate governance practices. Sandeep Kumar, Academician and Center Head at Career Launcher, focused on career growth and skill enhancement. CA Manish Agarwal from Ernst & Young discussed corporate taxation and FEMA.

The workshop also involved collaborations with professional associations including the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Jamshedpur Management Association (JMA), and Career Launcher.

According to participants, the sessions provided valuable exposure to industry perspectives. A student attending the event shared, “The interaction gave us practical insights beyond classroom learning.”

Organizers extended thanks to the Registrar, Vice Chancellor, Deans, and Heads of Departments for their guidance and support.
