JAMSHEDPUR – All India Kisan Khet Mazdoor Sangathan submitted a memorandum to the President through the Deputy Commissioner demanding action on agricultural land sales.
The organization demands immediate ban on land sales. Agricultural land is being sold to capitalists at low prices. This practice is happening across the country.
Members highlighted government policies as the root cause. Farmers’ land is gradually transferring to industrialists. Moreover, this has created severe livelihood challenges for farmers.
“Land acquisition fears are deepening among farming communities,” a representative stated. The stress is pushing many toward desperate measures. In addition, several farmers have resorted to suicide.
The organization raised concerns about systematic dispossession. However, government policies continue favoring industrial interests. Meanwhile, farming families face uncertain futures.
The memorandum seeks presidential intervention on this critical issue. Besides, it demands concrete steps for land protection. Furthermore, the organization wants immediate policy changes.
Deputy Commissioner’s office received the submission today. On the other hand, no official response has emerged yet. In contrast, farmers await urgent action.
The organization represents agricultural workers nationwide. It has been vocal about farmers’ rights previously. Besides, it continues advocating for land security measures.
Land remains the primary livelihood source for farmers. However, current policies threaten this foundation. Moreover, low compensation worsens their economic condition.
