JAMSHEDPUR – A violent attack occurred near Ram Tekri Road in Jugsalai on Tuesday when a mob assaulted two scooty riders, leaving them injured.
Reports said Jugsalai resident Tapas Kumar was traveling with his employee Manish Yadav towards Naya Bazaar. Initially, two to three bike riders argued with Tapas Kumar. However, soon after, a group of nearly 15 to 20 youths attacked both men.
During the assault, Manish Yadav suffered serious injuries. On the other hand, the attackers tried to stab Tapas Kumar with a knife, but he narrowly escaped.
Meanwhile, police reached the location after receiving information. The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, investigators began checking CCTV cameras installed nearby.
So far, officials have not disclosed details about the suspects or the motive. A police officer said, “We are verifying the evidence and cannot comment at this stage.”
The investigation into the case is ongoing, and security has been stepped up in the area.
