JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel commemorated the 166th birth anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata with a tribute ceremony at Sir Dorabji Tata Park in Jamshedpur.
The event began with floral homage to the industrial pioneer. T V Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, attended the function as Chief Guest. Alongside him, Dr T Mukherjee, former Deputy Managing Director of Steel, joined as Special Guest. Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President of Tata Workers’ Union, was present as Guest of Honour.
Senior Tata Steel executives, representatives of other group companies, office bearers of Tata Workers’ Union, and prominent citizens also attended. The gathering reflected respect for Sir Dorabji Tata’s legacy.
During his address, T V Narendran emphasized Sir Dorabji Tata’s vision. He highlighted the leadership lessons and his role in India’s industrial journey. “There are many lessons of leadership to learn from Sir Dorabji Tata,” Narendran noted, recalling his efforts toward both industry and national growth.
The commemoration added to Jamshedpur’s longstanding tradition of honouring Tata family contributions to the city and the nation.
