JAMSHEDPUR – Police have solved the 5 August 2025 evening shooting in Kitadih Gwalapatti under Parasudih police station, in which Ravi Yadav was injured. City SP Kumar Shivashish said three suspects have been arrested, and the scooter and mobile phone used in the crime were seized.

The incident occurred between 5:38 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., when Yadav, son of Kanhaiya Yadav, was shot by multiple assailants. A case was registered at Parasudih police station (Case No. 102/25, dated 6 August 2025) under various sections.

Investigation revealed that Yadav and Nihal Tiwari had clashed months earlier. Despite a settlement, Tiwari allegedly planned Yadav’s murder with associates. On the day of the incident, Tiwari and Sameer Kumar Singh alias Pandu arrived on a scooter (registration JH05CE-5462) near Kitadih Gwalapatti drain. Yadav stopped his vehicle on spotting Singh and began arguing. Tiwari then took out a pistol and a country-made gun from his bag and fired five to six rounds at Yadav, seriously injuring him. The attackers fled on the scooter.

Police arrested primary accused Sameer Kumar Singh alias Pandu and non-FIR accused Vivek Sah and Sanjay Verma alias Sanju Verma. Raids are continuing to capture the remaining suspects.
