District Administration Issues Order Following IMD’s Heavy Rainfall Warning

Key Points:

  • All schools up to Class 12 closed on July 15 due to heavy rain warning
  • IMD places East Singhbhum district in red zone for severe rainfall
  • DC Karn Satyarthi cites student safety concerns for precautionary measure

JAMSHEDPUR – District administration has ordered closure of all educational institutions up to Class 12 on July 15 following India Meteorological Department’s warning of severe continuous rainfall.

The India Meteorological Department issued a heavy rainfall alert for July 15. The weather department predicted severe and continuous downpour in the region. East Singhbhum district administration took the warning seriously.

However, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi announced the closure decision on Monday. The order applies to all government, non-government, private and minority schools. All educational institutions up to Class 12 will remain shut.

Meanwhile, IMD has placed the district in red zone category. The weather department forecasts severe to extremely heavy rainfall. Public life is expected to be significantly affected during this period.

Moreover, authorities expressed concerns about student safety during heavy downpour. The administration fears potential risks to students’ well-being. Transportation and movement could become dangerous in such weather conditions.

In addition, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure. The administration prioritized public interest while making this announcement. Student safety remains the primary concern for district officials.

Furthermore, the order covers all types of educational institutions across the district. Government schools, private institutions, and minority schools are included. No exceptions have been made for any category of schools.

The red zone warning indicates potential for waterlogging and flooding. Heavy rainfall can disrupt normal transportation services. Students might face difficulties reaching schools safely during such conditions.

Besides, district administration will monitor weather conditions continuously. Further decisions will be based on updated weather forecasts. The situation will be reviewed for subsequent days if needed.
