JAMSHEDPUR – Two residents of Sundarhatu, Durga Birua and Daso Sandil, lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the main road near Gitti Machine Chowk in Govindpur. The incident occurred when a heavy vehicle hit the bikers and fled the scene.

Victims Were Returning Home

The deceased were laborers returning to their homes after work. Eyewitnesses reported that a heavy vehicle struck the bike near Gitti Machine Chowk and sped away. Both victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

Protest by Residents

Following the accident, local residents gathered at the scene and blocked the road. They burnt tires and raised demands for immediate action against the driver and adequate compensation for the victims’ families.

Police Deployed to Maintain Order

The police were deployed in the area to manage the crowd and restore order. An investigation into the incident is underway. Authorities assured the residents that efforts are being made to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.
