JAMSHEDPUR – Nineteen-year-old Aditya Garg from Pune showcased a stellar performance in round one of Pre-Qualifying I of the TATA Steel PGTI Qualifying School 2025 at Golmuri Golf Course.

Garg registered seven birdies against one bogey, maintaining precision with his tee and approach shots. Reflecting on his performance, Aditya said, “Today’s accuracy with tee and approach shots made the difference. A good score on my debut here boosts my confidence for round two.”

Competitive Field at Golmuri

Chandigarh’s Vishav Pratap Singh Gill secured second place with a five-under 66. Gill’s calculated gameplay kept him in contention, providing a strong challenge to Garg’s lead.

Stakes for Final Qualifying

Out of 105 participants, only the top 20 (plus ties) will proceed to the Final Qualifying Stage. This event is part of a series of three Pre-Qualifying rounds, each pivotal for players aiming to secure a spot.
