JAMSHEDPUR – Round Table India, a leading non-political and non-sectarian organization, continues its mission of community service, prioritizing education, environmental sustainability, and healthcare. Founded in 1962, the organization comprises young men aged 18-40, working across the nation to promote service and goodwill. Its flagship initiative, “Freedom Through Education,” has transformed educational opportunities for underserved children by constructing over 7,600 classrooms, benefiting 8 million students nationwide.

During a national tour in January 2025, Round Table India’s National President, Chaitanya Dev Singh, visited Jharkhand and Odisha, including Jamshedpur on January 20. Welcomed by Jamshedpur Green City Round Table 224 and Jamshedpur Yoddhas Round Table 338, Singh attended a series of events focused on education, environment, and healthcare.

Education Initiatives

An MoU was signed with Madrasi Conference Middle School to construct a three-classroom block for underserved students. This project underscores the organization’s dedication to improving access to quality education.

Environmental Sustainability

In partnership with local MSMEs, Round Table India also signed an MoU to plant 10,000 trees in Adityapur Industrial Area using the Miyawaki method. This innovative afforestation technique promotes dense, native forests, enhancing biodiversity and ecological balance.

Healthcare Support

Healthcare took center stage as the organization funded a critical surgery for a 10-year-old child at Tata Main Hospital. Additionally, a 24-hour dialysis drive at Rajasthan Seva Sadan covered costs for all patients. The initiative was made possible with the active support of board members such as Mantu Agarwal, Deepak Ramuka, and others.

Recognition and Future Plans

Local MSMEs were honored for their contributions, which played a crucial role in executing these impactful projects. The day concluded with a joint meeting of Jamshedpur chapters, discussing future community service initiatives and reinforcing their commitment to societal welfare.

Round Table India’s efforts in Jamshedpur reaffirm its dedication to social well-being through education, environmental conservation, and healthcare initiatives, creating a meaningful impact across the community.
