JAMSHEDPUR – Thieves broke into a grocery store in Govindpur, stealing cash and goods worth over ₹25,000, sparking concerns among residents.

Ram Singh, the store owner near Jojobera Railway Gate, discovered the burglary early in the morning. A neighboring shopkeeper informed him about the broken lock. Upon reaching his shop, Singh found cash missing from the cash box and scattered goods.

Details of the Theft

Singh reported a loss of ₹7,000 in cash, with additional losses from stolen goods, bringing the total damage to over ₹25,000. The theft has alarmed local residents, who have started voicing concerns over increasing incidents in the area.

Police Investigation Underway

Govindpur Police have started an investigation but are yet to identify the culprits. Residents are urging the authorities to increase vigilance to curb such crimes.
