RANCHI – Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, highlighted his dedication to organizational work and the party’s mission to combat anti-national forces in the state. Das expressed gratitude to the BJP, stating, “A worker’s son like me was elevated to key roles like Chief Minister and Governor by this party.”
Focus on Anti-National Activities
Das emphasized the need to protect Jharkhand from forces promoting illegal conversions and infiltrations. He said, “Organizations like PFI are targeting areas like Santhal Pargana. Our government had banned such groups, and we expect the current administration to take firm action.” He warned that if the state government remains inactive against these issues, BJP would initiate protests from the streets to the Assembly.
Strengthening BJP’s Grassroots Connect
Calling for unity and expansion, Das urged party workers to bring millions of new members into the fold during the ongoing membership drive. He reiterated BJP’s respect for all religions but condemned conversions driven by coercion or greed. “We aim to build a fit and fighting BJP that upholds democracy and public welfare,” Das added.
Opposition to State Government Policies
Das accused the state government of failing to act on its promises, giving them a six-month deadline to deliver on policy commitments. He also criticized Congress for allegedly misusing the Governor’s office to dismiss democratically elected governments using Article 356.
Leaders Present
The press conference was attended by Union Minister Sanjay Seth, BJP Vice President Rakesh Prasad, Media In-charge Shivpujan Pathak, and Spokesperson Pradeep Sinha.
