RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has introduced a digital platform seeking citizen participation in shaping the state’s 2025-26 budget.
The Abua Budget initiative follows previous participatory efforts. It builds upon Hamar Apan and Hamin Kar budget programs.
“Public suggestions will help create a balanced budget,” remarked a senior finance official. Meanwhile, the platform accepts inputs until January 17.
Rural Development Focus
The Chief Minister emphasized strengthening rural economies. Moreover, he stressed the importance of enhanced revenue collection.
“Inclusive development remains our priority,” noted a government spokesperson. Furthermore, the budget aims to benefit all societal sections.
Implementation Process
However, suggestions will undergo careful screening. A dedicated committee will evaluate public inputs.
Additionally, the finance department will discuss shortlisted proposals. Meanwhile, three best suggestions will receive state recognition.
Official Participation
Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore attended the launch. On the other hand, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari also participated.
Urban Development Minister Sudivya Kumar joined the event. Furthermore, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was present.
