JAMSHEDPUR – The National Road Safety Month has started in East Singhbhum from January 1, 2025. Aiming to spread awareness, the campaign will continue till January 31 with various programs scheduled.
The initiative began with the launch of an awareness vehicle flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner from the district office. The vehicle will traverse multiple locations, educating citizens on traffic rules and safety measures to curb road accidents.
Road Safety Campaign Highlights
Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of adhering to road safety rules to prevent accidents. “We urge every citizen to follow traffic regulations for their safety and the safety of others,” the official remarked.
The campaign includes activities at schools, colleges, and public places. Programs such as poster distribution, installation of safety signboards, and interactive sessions are being organized to foster a culture of road safety. Additionally, efforts to promote helmet usage, seatbelt adherence, and sober driving are part of the agenda.
Comprehensive Awareness Drive
The awareness vehicle aims to reach diverse areas in the district, offering practical tips and emphasizing the significance of safe driving habits. Special attention is being given to reducing overspeeding and educating parents about children’s road safety.
