Relief Team Performs 10 Successful Operations Under Vision Service Campaign

JAMSHEDPUR – Ten cataract patients received free surgeries and lens implants through a collaborative vision care campaign by Anand Marg Universal Relief Team and Purnima Netralaya.
The initiative screened 60 patients under the National Programme for Control of Blindness. Medical experts identified 20 cataract cases requiring intervention.
“This campaign aims to restore vision to underprivileged patients,” said a senior ophthalmologist from the relief team.
Post-Operative Care
The operated patients received complimentary medications and spectacles. Meanwhile, the remaining 10 patients will undergo surgery on January 9.
Upcoming Camp
A special eye examination camp is scheduled for January 9 near Gadra Shiv Temple. Moreover, the camp will operate from 9 AM to 2 PM.
The initiative combines coverage under Ayushman Bharat and DBCS schemes. Additionally, the team plans monthly follow-up camps throughout 2025.
