JAMSHEDPUR – A pickup van delivering mid-day meals to a government school in Jamshedpur’s Parsudih area caused panic on Tuesday when its brakes failed near Chandni Chowk.
The van veered out of control and collided with the wall of a nearby house, narrowly avoiding a group of bystanders standing outside shops.
Witnesses quickly moved out of the van’s path, and fortunately, no one was injured.
Locals gathered at the scene and detained the driver, while the mid-day meal supplier was informed about the incident.
The house owner demanded either compensation or repair of the damaged wall, leading to a temporary resolution of the matter.
