JAMSHEDPUR – Three youths from Jamshedpur have been identified among the victims of a tragic road accident near Tamar on the Tata-Ranchi Highway.

The accident claimed the lives of three young men and left two others injured. All five friends, residents of Bhuiyadih’s Shantinagar area in Jamshedpur, were traveling to Jonha Falls on motorcycles when a truck rammed into their vehicles near a diversion by Kanchi River.

Fatal Crash Disrupts Traffic Near Tamar

The crash, which occurred under the Tamar police jurisdiction, disrupted traffic on the busy highway. Tamar Police Station in-charge Roshan Kumar Jha stated that the group was en route to Ranchi for a picnic when the tragedy struck.

Authorities took swift action to restore normalcy on the highway, reopening it within an hour.

Loss Felt Across Bhuiyadih Community

The victims were part of a larger group of 12 friends who had planned an outing to Dasam Falls. However, the journey turned tragic before reaching their destination. The deceased were identified as youths from Bhuiyadih’s Shantinagar.

Roshan Kumar Jha highlighted the importance of road safety and vigilance near diversions. “Highway diversions require utmost caution. This incident is a stark reminder of that,” he said.

Condolences Pour In

The accident has deeply affected the community, with relatives and friends gathering to mourn the loss. The injured are receiving medical attention, and support is being extended to the families of the deceased.
