JAMSHEDPUR – Following the completion of Jamshedpur East Assembly elections, the Cooperative College building in Bistupur has been converted into a strong room to securely store the EVMs and VVPATs from six constituencies.

The strong room is under two layers of stringent security, managed by paramilitary forces.

Additionally, all rooms within the strong room are under constant surveillance through CCTV cameras.

Candidates and their representatives are permitted to monitor the CCTV footage at any time to ensure transparency in the process.

All Eyes on Counting now

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and SSP Kishore Kaushal, along with City SP, have conducted multiple inspections to ensure robust security arrangements.

The DC emphasized that the strong room’s security setup, including CCTV monitoring and periodic patrolling, leaves no scope for any irregularities.

SSP Kishore Kaushal reiterated that unauthorized entry into the college premises is strictly prohibited, with access granted only to those with valid passes.

This vigilant approach aims to maintain the integrity of the election process and instill confidence among candidates and the public.
