JAMSHEDPUR – The Rajdhani Circus has become a major draw for audiences at the Golmuri Circus Ground in Jamshedpur.
Circus management shared details of the ongoing event at a press briefing on Monday. The show began last Saturday and has drawn strong enthusiasm from the very first day.
Children, young adults and elderly visitors alike have turned up in large numbers. Management said the audience response has exceeded expectations.
The circus will continue its run until August 16. Three shows will be staged every day during this period.
Each performance promises a mix of thrill, comedy and entertainment. Ticket prices have been kept at Rs 100, Rs 150 and Rs 200.
Organizers said the pricing was designed to make the show accessible to all sections of the public. Trained performers from Assam, Mizoram and other states are taking part in the event.
Visitors can watch daring aerial stunts and gravity-defying balancing acts. Clowns and comedic performances are also part of the lineup, along with technology-driven new segments.
Management said several new attractions have been added this year. These are expected to appeal to audiences across age groups.
The circus was formally inaugurated by social worker Chandragupta Singh, who cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. A large number of city residents attended the launch, applauding the performers’ displays.
“We hope people continue to support and enjoy the shows in the coming days,” a circus official said. Organizers have appealed to residents to visit the Golmuri ground with their families.
Golmuri has hosted several public entertainment events in recent years, including the dazzling show that opened the 2024 Jamshedpur Carnival. The city has also seen a carnival finale draw large crowds earlier this year. Similar gatherings have included the Tusu Mela at Bistupur’s Gopal Maidan and an annual Rakhi Mela in Ghatshila. Elsewhere, residents had earlier slipped into a carnival mood during a citywide festival, while a dairy fair drew visitors in nearby Chaibasa.
