JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of the world’s first International Meditation Day, Brahma Kumaris’ Universal Peace Palace in Sonari will host a special program on December 21, 2024, to promote mindfulness and empowerment.
The Brahma Kumaris’ Divyang Seva Wing has initiated a statewide campaign in partnership with the Jharkhand government to empower differently-abled individuals. Under this campaign, training programs began on December 15, 2024, and will conclude on January 8, 2024, covering key regions including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, and Deoghar.
Empowering the Differently-Abled
A training session for the differently-abled was organized on December 19, 2024, at the Brahma Kumaris Bistupur center. The program aims to inspire confidence, self-reliance, and holistic growth. Dr. Piyush Ranjan, the coordinator for the campaign, praised the UN’s declaration of World Meditation Day, calling it a significant step toward promoting mindfulness and a positive lifestyle.
Mount Abu’s Surya Prakash Bhai Ji highlighted the Brahma Kumaris’ dedication to serving marginalized communities. He emphasized the importance of empowering the differently-abled with values, self-confidence, and meditation practices.
Interactive Programs and Activities
On December 20, 2024, events were held at Sakchi’s Path Parent Association for Special Children and Northern Town’s School of Hope. These programs included value-based games, creative activities, and meditation sessions designed to inspire the children and teach essential life values.
To commemorate the first International Meditation Day on December 21, 2024, a special event will be held at Brahma Kumaris’ Universal Peace Palace in Sonari from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The program aims to promote meditation as a tool for mental well-being and a positive lifestyle, marking a global step toward mindful living.
