JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s legal community was taken aback late Friday night when Advocate Ram Dubey was picked up at his residence by local police.

The arrest followed allegations that Mr. Dubey had taken the law into his hands by assaulting individuals and issuing threats of violence.

Dubey’s arrest has also been linked to an existing case registered under the SC/ST Act at the Birsanagar police station.

A complaint was registered against Advocate Shriram Dubey at the Birsanagar SC/ST police station for assault and demands of extortion.

This case relates to an incident that took place at the old court premises.

Sawan Filiya Meethas, a resident of Sitaramdera, has leveled numerous serious allegations against Mr. Ram Dubey.

This past Wednesday, a video surfaced on social media, in which Mr. Dubey was seen involved in a physical altercation with individuals at the old court premises.
