Police Probe Suspected Strangulation Death of Rita Pramanik in Parsudih Area
The mysterious death of Rita Pramanik in Haludbani Rao Colony, Parsudih, Jamshedpur, is under investigation by local authorities, who suspect foul play may be involved.
JAMSHEDPUR – Local police are looking into the perplexing demise of Rita Pramanik, whose lifeless body was found yesterday evening at her home in Haludbani Rao Colony, located within the Parsudih police station’s jurisdiction.
Pramanik’s brother, who hurried to the location on Thursday morning, observed injuries on her head and neck.
Local residents informed the family about Pramanik’s passing, leading to her brother’s arrival at the scene.
Upon reaching the site, the brother discovered R Singh, Pramanik’s spouse, sitting near her body with lit incense sticks.
Reportedly, Pramanik’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law were attempting to flee from the premises.
The brother suspects that Singh choked Pramanik to death.
Detectives believe that a quarrel over family issues or property rights might have been the reason behind the alleged homicide.
Although married for nine years, the couple had not conceived any children.
Sources indicate that Pramanik’s parents owned the residence where she lived, while Singh’s family is based in Sitaramdera.
The authorities have been informed and are presently investigating the incident.
The post-mortem report is expected to shed more light on the events leading to Pramanik’s untimely death.
