6 Road Projects in Chandil, Ichagarh to Boost Transportation Network

JAMSHEDPUR – MLA Savita Mahto inaugurated six road repair projects worth Rs 10.18 crore in Chandil and Ichagarh blocks to enhance rural connectivity.

The initiative aims to improve transportation infrastructure in remote villages. The projects will cover a total distance of 19.33 kilometers.

“These roads will significantly improve daily commute for villagers,” said a local resident familiar with the development.

Project Details

The repair works include stretches from Phodlogoda to Sahi Jharna and Jamdih Ramgarh to NH-33. Moreover, roads connecting NH-33 to Katiya are part of the plan.

Additionally, the project covers PWD road sections from Palgam turn to Chhatardih. Meanwhile, repairs in Ichagarh will focus on the PWD road to Chirugoda stretch.

Economic Impact

The improved infrastructure will boost local trade activities. Furthermore, better roads will reduce transportation costs for farmers.

On the other hand, the project is expected to create temporary employment opportunities. Besides, it will facilitate faster emergency services access.
