SERAIKELA – Former Union Minister Arjun Munda visited the residence of Sonu Sardar, the husband of Yaspur Panchayat Mukhiya Parvati Sardar and District Para-Teacher Union President, who was yesterday murdered in Kandra’s Gamharia block.
Arjun Munda met the grieving family on Saturday, consoling them during this difficult time. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss and urged the authorities to ensure justice.
Munda spoke to the Superintendent of Police over the phone, demanding a swift investigation into the case. He emphasized the need to uncover the reasons behind this heinous crime and ensure strict punishment for the perpetrators. “Such brutal murders shake the very foundation of society, and it is crucial to bring the truth to light,” he said.
Describing Sonu Sardar as a dedicated social worker and a leader in the field of education, Munda highlighted his positive influence. “It was Sonu Sardar’s social service and popularity that contributed to his wife, Parvati Sardar, becoming the Mukhiya,” Munda added, underscoring the gravity of the loss for the entire community.
