JAMSHEDPUR – A large protest march took place in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, organized under the banner of the Sanatan Society. Hundreds marched from Sakchi Subhash Maidan to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, demanding protection for Hindus in Bangladesh.

Protesters held placards reading slogans such as “We will not tolerate anti-Hindu atrocities” and “Ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh.” They called on the Bangladeshi government to take immediate action to safeguard the rights of the Hindu minority.

March Demands Religious Freedom

Participants expressed their concerns about recent attacks on Hindu temples and religious sites in Bangladesh. They urged the Bangladeshi authorities to guarantee religious freedom and the safety of minority communities. A demonstrator stated, “We will continue this movement until concrete measures are taken to stop violence against Hindus.”

In addition, the protesters highlighted the rise in violence against Hindus in recent days, calling it a violation of human rights. This march, according to organizers, symbolizes unity among Hindus in India in standing with their Bangladeshi counterparts.

Plans for Further Protests

Meanwhile, organizers announced plans for larger demonstrations if the Bangladeshi government does not address the issues promptly. Many Hindu organizations have pledged their support to escalate the protest across various cities in India.

Background of the Issue

Reports indicate that attacks on Hindu religious sites in Bangladesh have surged in recent years. International human rights groups have raised alarms over the declining security of minorities in the country. The current protest reflects growing frustration with the inaction of Bangladeshi authorities.
