JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors Workers’ Union organized grand felicitation ceremonies at the Final Division and Vehicle Factory Plant One in Jamshedpur. Union president Shashi Bhushan Prasad and general secretary R.K. Singh were honored with garlands, shawls, and mementos in the presence of a large gathering of workers and officials.
At the Final Division program, senior manager Sanu Kumar, ER officer Sujit Jha, and Prateek Kumar were present. R.K. Singh discussed bonus distribution, regularization of workers, and social security benefits. He emphasized stopping waste in the company and spoke on skill development schemes for workers. The event was conducted by Shailendra Kumar, with a vote of thanks delivered by H.S. Saini.
Meanwhile, at Plant One, division head Manish Verma and GM J. Das joined the program. R.K. Singh and Shashi Bhushan Prasad were honored with shawls and mementos. The welcome speech was delivered by Prakash Vishwakarma, while Lakhanpal Singh and Ali Raja conducted the proceedings, and Riaz Ahmed proposed the vote of thanks.
During his address at Plant One, R.K. Singh spoke for 47 minutes, highlighting the union’s priority of ensuring workers’ happiness. He appealed to workers to focus on quality and remain vigilant on safety, recalling past incidents. He also assured support for children’s education and urged workers to reach out to management for assistance.
He outlined group insurance, social security, and leave bank schemes as major achievements of the union. He noted that delegates at the recent INTUC convention had asked how Tata Motors implemented such benefits. Singh stressed that future efforts would focus on improving wage agreements and enhancing welfare schemes.
