JAMSHEDPUR – Former MLA Arvind Singh inaugurated the Durga Puja pandal of Sri Sri Bolbam Committee in Bagbera, continuing a tradition since 1985.
Arvind Singh, also known as Malkhan Singh, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sri Sri Bolbam Durga Puja Committee’s pandal in Bagbera on Saturday.
The event saw participation from various BJP leaders and local dignitaries.
Upendranath Sardar, BJP ST Morcha state spokesperson and MP representative, was among the notable attendees.
Former district councilor Kishore Yadav and BJP district youth front president Nitish Kumar also graced the occasion.
Social worker Ranvir Singh and Bagbera mandal president Ashwani Tiwari were present at the ceremony.
The Durga Puja celebration in this area has been a continuous tradition since 1985.
Each year, the committee creates a unique and imaginative pandal design.
"We strive to make our pandal both creative and meaningful," said a committee member.
The puja committee announced its office bearers for this year’s celebration.
Jyoti Prakash Singh (Guddan) will serve as the president of the Sri Sri Bolbam Durga Puja Committee.
Munna Gupta has been appointed as the secretary, while Neeraj Kumar Tiwari will handle the treasurer’s responsibilities.
RP Srivastava will act as the licensee for the event.
The committee has included several patrons, including Sanjay Thakur and Kanhaiya Singh.
Former panchayat samiti member Dharmendra Chauhan and ex-district councilor Kishore Yadav are also part of the patron group.
The groundbreaking ceremony saw attendance from various local leaders and community members.
Executive president and deputy mukhiya Mukesh Singh participated in the event.
Former deputy mukhiya Kumod Yadav and mukhiya representative Budhram Toppo were also present.
A large number of residents joined the ceremony, showing community support for the puja celebrations.
