BJP Leader Kunal Sarangi Meets Jharkhand Governor, Raises Important Issues

Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan assures action on concerns relating to tribal language education, Ayushman Yojana, and scholarships after meeting with BJP spokesperson.

RANCHI – BJP Jharkhand State Spokesperson and former MLA Kunal Sarangi met with Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Thursday at Ranchi Raj Bhavan to discuss pressing issues concerning the Kolhan region and the state.

Sarangi highlighted the lack of permanent teachers for tribal languages at Kolhan University, the poor implementation of the Ayushman Yojana healthcare scheme, and the non-receipt of scholarship funds for needy students studying outside Jharkhand.

Governor Radhakrishnan acknowledged the concerns and pledged to arrange for more teachers and establish one or two residential centers with complete facilities for Kolhan students to study tribal languages more effectively.

Sarangi told the Governor that due to unpaid funds by the state government, several hospitals have refused treatment under the Ayushman scheme, which he described as dying in Jharkhand.

He also stressed the importance of organizing district-wise Red Cross units.

Regarding the unpaid scholarship funds from the Welfare Department, Sarangi explained that many students face difficulties in continuing their education due to non-payment, and new students are unable to register for scholarships.

Governor Radhakrishnan ordered his secretary, Nitin Madan Kulkarni, to coordinate with senior officials from the concerned departments to resolve these issues.

Young social worker and blood donation advocate Atul Gera, known as the “Bloodman of Ranchi,” also attended the meeting.
