JAMSHEDPUR – The second edition of the Industry-Academia Conclave 2024 commenced at NIT Jamshedpur on Friday, with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurating the three-day event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The conclave, being held at the Adityapur campus, brings together prestigious institutions like IIT/ISM Dhanbad, IIT Patna, NIT Mizoram, IIT Bhilai, NIT Raipur, NIT Agartala, NIT Manipur, and NIT Nagaland, along with industrial giants such as Tata Steel, NTPC, ONGC, and Power Grid Corporation.

Governor Gangwar praised NIT Jamshedpur’s contribution to technical education and conveyed his greetings to the people of Jharkhand on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
In his address, the governor stated that industry-academia partnerships fostered through such conclaves could drive Jharkhand’s development and align with the theme “Developed India-Developed Jharkhand: 2047.”
The event, supported by sponsors like SBI, HDFC, Elsevier, Springer-Nature, and Cambridge Press, focuses on aligning academic research with real-world industrial challenges, promoting innovation, and building a roadmap for a progressive and self-reliant economy.
The conclave aims to bring together industry leaders, academic experts, policymakers, and students to discuss and develop solutions for industrial challenges.
The governor highlighted the conclave’s potential as a milestone in India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by its centenary year in 2047.
