CHAIBASA – Naxalites displayed threatening posters around polling stations in the 55 Manoharpur assembly constituency, aiming to disrupt the election atmosphere and deter voters.

The posters appeared near polling station number 254 at Primary School Kolbanga and polling station number 255 at Upgraded School Rabanga in West Singhbhum district.

After officials received reports of the posters, the district administration and security forces took immediate action, removing the materials and working to reassure the local population.

This swift response raised confidence among voters, encouraging smooth electoral proceedings at the affected stations.

Despite these challenges, voter turnout was steady, with polling station 254 reporting a 50.92% turnout by 11 am and station 255 recording a 31.02% turnout by the same time.
