  • JAMSHEDPUR – The first phase of Jharkhand’s assembly elections saw a voter turnout of 46.25% by 1 p.m., based on preliminary data from polling authorities.

Seraikella-Kharsawan district led with a turnout of 50.71%, marking the highest participation in the state during this phase.

By contrast, Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West in East Singhbhum recorded some of the lowest turnouts, at 36.92% and 35.93%, respectively.
