RANCHI – The Jharkhand Congress prepares for the upcoming assembly elections with key announcements.

Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir has arrived in Ranchi to oversee election preparations.

Moreover, Mir announced that the party’s first list of candidates will be released after October 19.

This timeline coincides with Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled visit to Ranchi on the same date.

"We expect to release the first list on October 21," Mir stated during his visit.

Furthermore, the seat-sharing formula with alliance partners is reportedly near completion.

Interestingly, Mir’s arrival marks his first visit to Jharkhand since winning the Dooru seat in Jammu and Kashmir.

Party workers warmly welcomed the Congress leader at Ranchi airport.

On the other hand, Mir plans to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss alliance matters.

"I will clarify any concerns regarding seat-sharing," he emphasized, highlighting the importance of alignment.

Meanwhile, a series of meetings are planned leading up to October 19 to finalize electoral strategies.

The Central Election Committee is set to convene following Rahul Gandhi’s visit.

However, specific details about the number of seats or potential candidates remain undisclosed.

Mir’s visit and announcements signal intensified preparations for the upcoming assembly polls.

As the election approaches, all eyes will be on the Congress party’s candidate selection and alliance dynamics.

The party’s strategy in Jharkhand could play a crucial role in shaping the state’s political landscape.
