Inter-JDC Tournament Elevates Employee Engagement Through Sports at Tata Steel
Tata Steel kicks off Inter-JDC Cricket Tournament; aims to bolster employee camaraderie and showcase talent in a 15-day sporting event.
JAMSHEDPUR – The final match of this year’s Inter-JDC Cricket Tournament is set to captivate sports enthusiasts on November 10.
A total of 34 matches are on the slate over the next 15 days, with three matches scheduled every day.
The tournament is structured to include four different groups, with the semi-finalists being the top two teams from each of these categories.
Adhering to a 20-over format, the matches have been organized in a single-elimination style.
A total of 35 teams have geared up to vie for the much-coveted Inter-JDC Cricket Tournament title this year.
The Inter-JDC Cricket Tournament, designed as a friendly yet competitive platform, aims to foster camaraderie and team spirit among Tata Steel employees.
The Sports Department at Tata Steel envisions the tournament to be a triumphant occasion and is optimistic about enriching the employees’ cricketing experience.
Various committee members alongside Vice-Chairman of Sports Advisory Committee, Sanjay Singh, and Deputy President of TWU, Shailesh Singh, marked their presence during the event.
Tata Steel’s commitment to facilitating employee participation in sports is exemplified by the organization of this tournament, among several other initiatives.
The ceremonial launch, hosted at the Armoury Ground, witnessed special guests Hemant Gupta, Head of Adventure Programme and Sports, Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Excellence Centre, and Sanjeev Choudhari, President of Tata Workers’ Union.
