CM Extends Jharkhand Women’s Aid Scheme Enrollment

Special camps for financial assistance program to continue till August 15

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren extends enrollment period for the Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana due to technical issues and high demand.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced that special enrollment camps for the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana (JMMSY) will continue until August 15, extending the original August 10 deadline.

The decision comes after technical snags hindered online registration at pragya kendras across the state.

"There is tremendous enthusiasm among lakhs of sisters regarding this scheme," CM Soren posted on X.

The JMMSY aims to provide Rs 1,000 monthly to women aged 21-50 years.

Soren stated the scheme would benefit approximately 50 lakh women, with each receiving Rs 12,000 annually.

The Chief Minister has instructed officials to address technical issues immediately.

"I have given instructions for immediate redressal of the technical snags," Soren said.

He also ordered an increase in the number of Pragya Kendras to meet the high demand.

Soren emphasized that enrollment will continue even after the special camps conclude.

"This is an ongoing scheme. There is no time limit to avail of the benefits," he clarified.

The CM warned against middlemen trying to exploit the scheme’s popularity.

"The entire process of this scheme is free, so beware of middlemen," Soren cautioned.

He has instructed district administrations to take strict action against any reported middlemen.

The JMMSY is a key initiative of the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government ahead of upcoming assembly polls.
