JAMSHEDPUR – Residents of Vijaya Heritage Phase I-V in Kadma celebrated Durga Puja 2024 with traditional rituals and community events.

The festivities commenced with an inauguration ceremony on Shasti.

Moreover, daily evening aartis brought the community together in devotion.

Residents offered lighted wicks to Goddess Durga amidst devotional songs.

The Dhunuchi Dance, a traditional ritual, added vibrancy to the celebrations.

In addition, men and women performed with incense burners filled with smoking coconut husks.

Meanwhile, cultural programs showcased the artistic talents of community members.

Residents of all ages participated in music, dance, and drama performances.

Furthermore, competitions in rangoli making, painting, and recitation were organized.

A prize distribution ceremony recognized participants’ efforts and talents.

On the other hand, the Sindur Daan ceremony marked the culmination of the festival on Dashami.

Married women applied vermilion to the Goddess and each other during this ritual.

"The Sindur Daan ceremony is a beautiful tradition that symbolizes marital bliss and unity," remarked a local resident.

The five-day celebration strengthened community bonds and preserved cultural traditions.
