Durga Puja Committees Urged to Install CCTV in Chakulia

Durga Puja organizers in Chakulia asked to follow safety measures and install CCTV for smooth operations during the festival.

Key Points:

– Authorities advise installing CCTV in all Durga Puja pandals.

– Separate entry points for men and women devotees are recommended.

– Police to be deployed at key junctions during the festivities.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a meeting held at Chakulia police station, chaired by Ghatsila’s LRDC Nikhil Surin, authorities discussed security arrangements for Durga Puja.

During the meeting, Nikhil Surin emphasized the need for all Durga Puja committees in Chakulia to install CCTV cameras. This, he said, would aid both the administration and the committee members in ensuring a smooth and safe festival.

Separate entry gates for male and female devotees should be created to manage crowds efficiently.

The gathering urged strict adherence to government guidelines and emphasized peaceful and harmonious celebrations.

Police personnel will be deployed at major intersections and checkpoints to ensure security during the festival, according to Santosh Kumar, the local police in-charge.

SDPO Ajit Kumar Kujur also instructed that bleaching powder should be sprayed in key areas to maintain hygiene during the event.

Additionally, all meat and fish shops will remain closed during the festival days, in line with local traditions.

Other officials present included Circle Officer Upendra Kumar, District Council member Dharitri Mahato, and members of several Durga Puja committees from both rural and urban areas of Chakulia.
