Naman Pays Tribute to War Hero Abdul Hamid on His Death Anniversary

JAMSHEDPUR – The social organization Naman hosted a tribute event at its Sakchi office in honor of Param Vir Chakra recipient Abdul Hamid on his death anniversary.

The gathering saw the participation of intellectuals, journalists, lawyers, social workers, women, and youth from the city.

Brijbhushan Singh, a senior journalist and patron of Naman, emphasized Abdul Hamid’s sacrifice and urged the youth to follow his ideals.

He stated, "Shaheed Abdul Hamid was not just a brave soldier; his selfless service and dedication are an inspiration for every Indian."

Senior journalist Jaiprakash Rai also spoke at the event, remarking, "Abdul Hamid’s bravery and patriotism are golden chapters in our country’s history. We must work together to fulfill the dreams of our martyrs and remain dedicated to serving the nation."

Throughout the program, speakers including social worker Ramkeval Mishra, writer Balwinder Singh, lawyer Swati Mitra, and activist Ritika Srivastava shared stories of Abdul Hamid’s extraordinary courage.

They particularly highlighted his role in the 1965 Indo-Pak war, where he demonstrated remarkable bravery by destroying enemy tanks with his strategic thinking and courage.

Brijbhushan Singh praised Naman’s patriotic initiatives, describing them as "alaukik" (divine) and highly commendable.

He added, "Naman’s efforts in keeping the flame of patriotism alive are unparalleled and deeply appreciated."

The event was conducted by Rajeev Kumar, a senior official of Naman, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Jugun Pandey.
