The Jamshedpur Municipal Corporation has intensified efforts to prevent dengue by conducting anti-larvae spraying in various areas of the city.
JAMSHEDPUR – To curb the spread of dengue, the Jamshedpur Municipal Corporation has started anti-larvae spraying across several regions, including Old Purulia Road and Dimna Road.
The Deputy Municipal Commissioner has mandated daily spraying and fogging operations, urging residents to prevent waterlogging around their homes.
Residents have been specifically advised against allowing water to accumulate in tires, tanks, or any empty spaces.
During an inspection near Chepa Bridge, a fine of ₹1000 was imposed for waterlogging.
Anti-larvae spraying was carried out in areas like Road No. 9, Jawahar Nagar Ulidih, Zakir Nagar Road No. 21, Vaikunth Nagar, and Bali Goma Bagan.
Potential mosquito breeding sites were targeted, with similar spraying conducted in Jawahar Nagar and Gulab Bagh, where another ₹1000 fine was collected.
