In connection with the firing incident at the Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom in Bistupur, Jamshedpur on August 17, police have arrested four individuals and recovered the weapon used in the crime.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Bistupur police have arrested four suspects involved in the firing incident that occurred at the Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom on Saturday evening, August 17, spreading fear across the area.
The incident saw bullets piercing through the showroom’s glass windows, causing panic among locals.
Following the incident, the police registered an FIR based on the statement of the showroom manager and initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, the police managed to track down and arrest four suspects linked to the crime.
The arrest was confirmed by SSP Kishore Kaushal, who also stated that the police had recovered the weapon used in the firing.
Further details about the case will be revealed by the police on Saturday.
The police began their probe immediately after the incident.
They also questioned the showroom owner, who denied having any enemies or receiving extortion threats.
The police then interrogated six customers and employees who were present at the showroom during the incident but did not gain any significant leads.
Investigators also reviewed nearby CCTV footage, which eventually led to the identification of a suspect.
After detaining the suspect, the police conducted a rigorous interrogation, during which the individual confessed to the firing, admitting that it was carried out to demand extortion from others.
