Jamshedpur was shaken on Saturday evening as gunmen opened fire at the Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom in Bistupur, causing widespread panic.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a shocking incident on Saturday evening, criminals opened fire at the Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, shattering the glass windows and creating an atmosphere of fear.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and no property damage was reported beyond the broken glass.

The Bistupur police arrived at the scene promptly after receiving the report and began investigating the case.

The showroom was closed immediately following the incident, and the police recovered a bullet shell from the site.

Former President of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Sonthalia, expressed deep concern over the incident.

He urged the police to take strict action against the criminals, stating, “If such brazen acts continue, it will become impossible for business owners to operate safely.

The incident follows a string of shootings in the city, with gunfire incidents reported in Telco and Jugsalai on Friday, and now in Bistupur on Saturday.

Local business owners are alarmed by the rising violence, calling for increased security measures in the area.
