Jamshedpur Bar Association Preps for Crucial Leadership Election

66 candidates vie for 16 key positions; voting set for August 24

The Jamshedpur District Bar Association gears up for a highly competitive election with a diverse pool of candidates.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur District Bar Association has announced its upcoming elections for the 2024-2026 term, scheduled for August 24, with 66 candidates contesting 16 key positions.

Five candidates are competing for the prestigious role of president: Malkit Singh, Omkar Nath Arun, Rathindra Nath Das, Rohit Kumar, and Vimal Kumar Pandey.

The vice-presidential race features Anuradha Chaudhuri, Balai Panda, Basant Kumar Mishra, Ravi Shankar Tripathi, and Sudhir Kumar.

Three contenders vie for the general secretary position: Ajay Singh Rathore, Harendra Kumar, and Kumar Rajesh Ranjan.

The treasurer’s role has attracted four candidates: Divendu Mandal, Jai Prakash Bhakat, Jitendra Kumar Dubey, and Rajiv Saini.

Six candidates, including Jagdeep Singh Saini and Pushpa Kumari, are competing for the assistant treasurer position.

The joint secretary role has drawn the largest field with 22 candidates, including Dilip Kumar Mahato and Vinita Singh.

Election spokesperson Ranjan Dhari Singh emphasized the election’s importance, urging members to participate actively and vote responsibly.

The outcome will determine the Bar Association’s leadership for the next two years, making it a pivotal event for the local legal community.

The diverse candidate pool reflects the vibrant legal fraternity in Jamshedpur and promises a closely contested election.

Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the candidates and their platforms before casting their votes on August 24.
