CM Mainya Samman Yojana Receives 5000 Applications in East Singhbhum

Special camps across 231 Panchayats and Municipal Bodies facilitate application process

The CM Mainya Samman Yojana, offering Rs 1000 monthly to eligible women, sees strong response through district-wide special camps.

JAMSHEDPUR – The CM Mainya Samman Yojana has garnered approximately 5000 online applications through special camps organized across East Singhbhum district.

The camps, which began on August 3, are being held at 24 locations within 231 Panchayats and Municipal Bodies.

A total of 255 camps are conducted daily to facilitate the application process.

The scheme aims to provide a monthly honorarium of Rs 1000 to women aged 21 to 50 years who are not beneficiaries of other pension schemes.

District Magistrate Ananya Mittal emphasized the efforts to simplify the application process for eligible beneficiaries.

"We are providing free forms to all eligible individuals. Black and white xerox copies of PDF forms are also accepted," Mittal stated.

Eligibility criteria include Jharkhand residency, age between 21 to 50 years, and possession of specific documents like Voter ID and Aadhaar card.

Beneficiaries must have a single bank account linked to Aadhaar, with a deadline of December 2024 for linking.

The scheme primarily targets holders of yellow, pink, white, and green ration cards issued by the Jharkhand state.

Certain groups are excluded, including income tax payers, EPF holders, government employees, and beneficiaries of other pension schemes.

Anganwadi workers have been instructed to accept various forms of documentation to ensure ease of access for applicants.

The Block Development Officer oversees the scheme’s implementation in rural areas, while the Zonal Officer manages urban areas.

Beneficiaries will receive monthly payment notifications on their registered mobile numbers, ensuring transparency.

"The state’s effort through these camps aims to reach and assist all eligible women, reinforcing the government’s commitment to citizen welfare," an official stated.
